Qatar Based Twin Teenagers Undergoes Sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Bengaluru with great success
The Bangalore based hospital called Gleneagles Global Hospital had an interesting case from Qatar based Twins who weighed 110 kgs each had undergone the Bariatric surgery to get rid of the extra weight from their bodies. When they approached they were fat and obese having several issues with their overweight, however, the South Indian doctors found the way out and helped the teenagers to lose weight and thus say goodbye to their health issues due to obesity. As per the surgeon, Dr. Moinuddin, the Bariatric surgery doctor, and advanced surgery doctor, the boys would lose 45 kgs in a year. He was the one who operated the boys from Qatar who is basically from Doha. For both the boys, the surgeon carried out the weight loss surgery called the Sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Bengaluru. The surgery involves removing the outer body frame from the body and then making the stomach small to restrict the food intake to carry out the weight loss.
Both the boys were weighing 110 kg each and that has made their body mass index as 40, which was alarming. Both the boys seemed obese and had been gone inactive since the past few years and they soon turned the matter of concern for their parents. In fact, they also stopped eating the homemade food and mostly relied on the stuff like pizzas, burgers and aerated drinks that majorly contributed to obesity among the teenagers. They soon got isolated socially and were more restricted to their rooms and the place they lived, which brought the worries of their parents asking them to have the solution for it. The twins tried the thing on their own like playing football but it did not work for them. Due to their weight, they cannot run. This brought a slew of other issues among the kids, which were both psychological and physical.
The surgeon explained how things go bad for the kids who are obese with issues like depression, lack of physical activities, and sometime the cause behind the obesity could be genetics as well. The parents then consulted the doctor after checking the options in Qatar and when they found Indian hospital more suitable and affordable for the weight loss surgery in India for their kids, they finally landed to the country to get the same. Soon their mother along with the two kids reached India for the surgery. She disclosed that the two started gaining weight when they were 12 and by the time they reached 18, things turned uncontrolled and beyond their capacity. Their mother felt that her children can develop health issues like high blood pressure, diabetics and cardiac issues with the growing obesity, hence she took things seriously and reached for the Bariatric surgery.
The boys chose to go for the Sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Bengaluru, India as their mother knew a person of 135 kgs had come down to this place to get the surgery done on time and it was a big success. That made her visit Bangalore to get the surgery. The same doctor had reduced a good amount of weight from the said person, while for the boys, the doctor has asked them not to consume high calories food and sweet and they have to stay away from the junk food as well while they are undergoing the treatment for the weight loss in India and even back to their place. Also, they have to walk for an hour at least to see the weight loss working for them as surgery alone is not the solution.
