It is my pleasure to take part in this week learning challenge contest on chrochet and I'm so much happy that the steemit team choose this teaching team again it will really help me to improve on my knowledge on chrochet for another 6 weeks.
Thank you so much the teachers for your time, for your efforts, for your energy, for your patience, for your good coach in training all the students lovingly from your heart I appreciate you so much.
This week crochet learning challenge is awesome but a little bit challenging. I've been practising each day on how to make this particular lying down stitches and after series of trying, I finally make it so I decided to take part in the contest.
To begin, I got my tools available
- Yarn
- Key ring
- Needle
- Scissors
Make the keychain with the stitches suggested in class. Support your activity with photos of the step or an explanatory video.
So to make a key chain, we will used some of the steps and terms that we already learnt from the previous classes. Like making a knot, low stitch, chain stitch etc.
Step 1; I begin with a knot
Step 2; I made five chains stitch then I made two lines of low stitch.
Practice session
Step 3; In my third line of making the low stitch after making too low stitch, I made my lying down stitch.
The lying down stitch is made by taking your needle two step downward, insert the needle through a hole towards the left side, pull it out by dragging the yarn from the back to the front then drag the loop to be equal and take another yarn pull it out from the loop and continue till it reaches 22 lines.
Step 4; Finish the line with two low stitch
I repeated it for 22 lines.
To watch my steps on how to do it, watch my video below 👇
In a photo, identify the 22 pairs of stitches lying down in your work or fabric.
This is 22pairs of lying down stitches
Share a selfie of your work.
It was a nice experience to work on this and I appreciate the design. I came to realise that there are much designs in chrochet and so learning them will help add beauty to our work.
That's my two beautiful keychain
It was interesting 🤔 thank you for the skill, looking forward to learn more.
I want to invite @dequeen @ninapenda and @lovinah to take part in this contest.
Te quedaron lindos los llaveros, fuiste generosa porque hiciste uno extra que cualquiera querrá usar para sus llaves.
Se ven muy bonitos los puntos acostados, la práctica dio sus frutos. Felicidades
Éxitos en el reto
Oh I'm grateful thank you so much, I appreciate you
You did the perfect job for this. It must have really taken a whole lot of time and energy for you. But you were actually persistent and the end result is amazing
Oh yea but I'm grateful I did it
Hi dear,
It looks as if your pattern is more centred (just in the middle) instead of from side to side but I must say I like it.
Good luck.
