Wolves in sheep's clothing: They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption

Jesus explains that false teachers will come, the kingdom of heaven does not belong to those who teach error: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves", Matthew 7:15.
After Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), that is, the confirmation of the holy spirit to the disciples; Peter confronts several of these false prophets such as the Magician Simon (Acts 8:9-24), who tried to buy spiritual gifts with money.
This is why the apostle Peter in his second epistle explains to us that these people who present themselves with beautiful and seductive words, are truly masters of lies, deception, and oppression:
"These false teachers are like unthinking animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed. They scoff at things they do not understand, and like animals, they will be destroyed. Their destruction is their reward for the harm they have done. They love to indulge in evil pleasures in broad daylight. They are a disgrace and a stain among you. They delight in deception even as they eat with you in your fellowship meals. They commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed.", 2 Peter 2:12-14
These leaders promise us freedom but deliver the opposite: "They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.", 2 Peter 2:19.

We cannot, Peter explains, fall into slavery to sin and error after having accepted the freedom of the spirit. It can happen, but it is a contradiction: "Of them the proverbs are true: ´A dog returns to its vomit,´ and, ´A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.´", 2 Peter 2:22.
The true teachers in the gospel are the people instructed by the spirit, in the teaching of wisdom, the knowledge of the correct means of living.
