Something Which We May Think Is From Our Relatively Distinct History. But The Word Is Still Very Much Apt And Relevant Today. Slavery Is The Effective Ownership And Control Of The Person. Though Modern Day Slavery Is Different From The Type Of Slavery That Was Abolished In 19th Century. Today There Are Less Likely To Be Chains For The Control Of Another Kind. Sometimes Modern Day Slavery May Relate To Debts Owed By The Victim To The Offender, Where Money Has To Be Worked Off But Never Really Be Cleared. Another Example Of Modern Day Slavery May Be A Person Brought Into The Country With The Promise Of Work But The Plan All Along Was To Keep This Person In Forced Labor And Servitude. To Keep The Control There May Be Threats Of Severe Violence To The Victim Or Threats To Their Loved One’s Back Home And Back Home Should Not Suggest That Modern Day Slavery Just Relates To People Being Brought To The Country From Other Countries.
