Thanks for your report Dave. You make a good point that the Syrian air defences are now improved with Russian S-300s on their way. Turkey has confirmed their deal to buy the S-400. Meanwhile I get the impression the French are fuming. Macron has been obviously chosen to be Trump's handler. However, there won't be any backing down on the Iran deal, plus the French already feel particularly slighted by Trump's withdrawal from the Paris accord.
