in #sketchnation6 years ago

It was definitely an awesome experience to be part of a live online talk show the TEH TARIK SUNDAY by #teammalaysia especially when you have such a great audience! Thank you @zord189 and @branlee87 for the chance for me to be part of this!

Promoting my post : the #sketchnation.

I was given a slot to share on one of my post to be discussed so i chose my latest and a quite comprehensive one to showcase most of my work and summarizing it into a compact and brief interview.

check it out here;

In the interview ive got a chance to talk about a post but i took the chance to share a gist of my background, lifework, the realm of knowledge that im in and sharing the joy to spark the interest in the audience. I know the audience are remarkable people that can benefit the community through sketching so they can maximise their potential in sharing their knowledge through visuals. This is because the spirit of #sketchnation is always about simplification of complex knowledge into something easier to grasp and serve a bigger crowd.

In my case, take architecture for instance. Architecture is rather an example of a complex knowledge that comprises in a very wide perspectives and with many elements. What i mean is without a simplification process, its hard for people to learn from our own environment. It is so easy to pass through a street without having to realize that there are so many things to be seen through a little bit of attention given to those elements. But to sit down and take it slow for a while will open up all the possibilities; interaction with the people, observing the feelings of being there, smelling the foods from the stalls in the corners, and limitless others.

This is applicable to any fields of knowledge, say it medical, economy, environmental, arts, science, everything. As we dont have all the time in the world to explore everything in our lifetime, we will need to work together, to share, to open up the path to the knowledge that were in for everyone else to get into it. The 'complex looking' and 'seems so hard to swallow' knowledge will never do the justice to how exciting it could be when were in it, we all knew it well. So why not we all use the realm of sketching to simplify our ideas for others to learn and understand? :)

Thanks you guys for the great experience! Hope to share more with everyone here! :)
