Six workers killed in Pakistan shootout

Six people were killed by unknown gunmen in a southwestern city of Pakistan. Government officials said this yesterday. This is the latest violent attack in the region. News AFP

The killings took place about 170 kilometers southwest of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province. This province of Pakistan has the zeal of Taliban and Islamic militants and local Baloch separatists. Local government official Hashim Ghiljai said that unidentified friendly friends shot dead six workers. He said the condition of one injured worker was critical.

Workers from Punjab province used to work in mobile towers. They used to stay in a tent next to the workplace. It is here that they were attacked, said Ghiljai. This attack is considered to be a terrorist attack. Local security officer Tariq-ur-Rahman confirmed the attack and casualties. Until the last news, no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
