Most donated blood is not used for blood infusions but for making medicine.
Also there are a lot more factors that can make blood incompatible, there are people who can only accept blood from one out of 1000 donors.
There are also several types of artificial blood but so far every product had some problems.
Thanks for your input! Yes, getting a blood transfusion is quite complicated and there are many different factors that make it successful.
