Tip: to learn French ask Siri to speak to you only in French
My kids set up their ipod Touch to only speak French ... this way they need to ask Questions in French and Siri only answers in French and also types the response in French so they both speak listen and read in French .... Siriously
I am going to do this with Italian.

Haha, that's a really great idea actually! It's a more organic way of learning and probably more closely represents the way we need to approach learning a language.
Yes i need to both hear and see the words spoken in order for my mind to be able to absorb and remember
