Nadunggan ko na pag-usab ang mga dagundong
Mga masadyang singgit og mga ugong
Panahon na usab nga kita magbayaw og maglipay
Kuyog ang atong mga amigo, amiga og kabanay

Panahon na usab nga kita magpasalamat
Alang sa mga grasya nga atong nadawat
Sa atubangan sa Balaang Bata, kita magdayeg
Nga maglig-on pa unta ang atong pagsalig

Dinhi sa kadalanan sa siyudad sa Sugbo
Daghang kalihukan; maanyag nga mananayaw ang miulbo
"Viva! Pit Senyor!" atong malipayon nga isinggit
Aron kita magpuyo sa kalinaw og kahingpit

This poem I made above is written in Cebuano which is my first language. It is the main language spoken in Cebu. Since Sinulog (an annual religious and cultural festival) is held in Cebu, I decided to create the poem in Cebuano.

In the poem, I described how fun and festive Sinulog is. I also mentioned that Sinulog is not just about having fun but also the time to thank the Holy Child Jesus for all the blessings he has showered upon us.
