Screaming lessons... Sure!
Seeing as I've never had any formal training when it comes to singing, I'm always watching videos or reading articles about techniques and vocal health. In fact, here's an example by fellow Steemian @jessamynorchard about the uses of elderberries for singers: https://steemit.com/music/@jessamynorchard/elderberry-juice-vocal-salvation
With that being said, I had another home town Steemian, @jakeimnotshure find a video of a woman who does screaming lessons. So naturally I look into it, knowing that when you scream (like my husband) or do gritty vocals (like myself), you must know how to do it properly or you will damage and/or ruin your vocal chords.
The video he showed me was about a DVD lesson called 'The Zen of Screaming' and is taught by Melissa Cross, who is a vocal coach from New York. As I watched the YouTube video about the DVD, I became very interested and went to the site to do some more research. She coaches many screamers in a wide array of bands from Lamb of God to Melissa Auf der Maur. Our interest was very peaked when seeing that the DVD was only $25! I've looked into lots of DVD vocal trainings and it's usually extremely expensive... With the DVD which has warm-ups, exercises, and help to find your range (I don't know what mine is...), there's also special features and an audio CD for practice. And she also offers more on her website melissacross.com.
Now, I know that this is nothing like actual lessons and being in the room with a teacher, but I feel that it will help both my husband and I. After all, you can't grow if you don't know! I'm hoping that I'll see results in the coming weeks and hope that if any of you hear a difference, you'll let me know! We just got it in the mail yesterday but I'm super excited to go through the whole lesson tomorrow. I'll do a check up later this week and let you know what I think of it! I'd also love your opinion! Have you used this DVD or other vocal training programs? What do you think is best?
Thanks for looking and please comment!

I think I'd blow out my vocal chords if I tried doing that, but then, they aren't what they used to be when I was younger.
This dvd shows how to scream and NOT ruin your cords
