Wolverine…

Afternoon everyone..

I grew up in the golden age of comic books and cartoons. While the old school good cartoons are no longer, the resurgence of comic book hero’s is very popular. There have been a ton of superhero movies released several versions of Batman, X-Men you name it, it’s been done.

So popular that there is a whole coin series devoted to them now.

Marvel Series Bullion:

In 2017, the Perth Mint released the Marvel Series with a Spider-man coin which was a quick sell-out. The first silver coin coincided with the release of a new Spider-man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Spider-Man: Homecoming. This release was followed by Thor, Black Panther, Iron Man, and Deadpool in 2018. Heading into late 2019, the series continued with new designs from Hulk and Captain America that did not necessarily coincide with the release of a new feature film, but did reflect the continued popularity of the characters from the Marvel Universe.

This coin is the ninth release in the Marvel Bullion series struck by The Perth Mint, featuring various Marvel characters. This release follows other sold out releases, including Spider-man and Black Panther.

Coin Highlights:
Coin contains 1 oz of .9999 fine Silver.
Mintage is limited to 50,000 coins worldwide.
Obverse: Features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and states the purity and legal tender denomination of $1 from Tuvalu.
Reverse: Depicts a classic rendering of Wolverine. He is considered by most to be an anti-hero within the Marvel Comic Universe due to the fact he has no problem using deadly force when necessary. The raw, animal power of his figure is captured in the brooding depiction of the figure on the reverse.
Struck in Australia by Perth Mint.

Buying the back dates can be quite pricey in today’s current market. The Spider-Man coin which is the first release sells on the secondary market for over $100 each.

Here is the Wolverine…..
