I will show you some Canadian commemorative coins, in no specific order or value.

The sixty eighth coin is a 1977 CAD $1 "Throne of the Senate".

This coin weights 23.3g with 50% silver purity and Specimen finish. Its mintage was 744,848 units and the issue price was CAD $4.25.

During 1977 Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the 25th anniversary of the accession to the throne. Many countries, including Canada recognized the event with a special commemorative coin.

The reverse, designed by R. Lee and engraved by A. Aarand, depicts the throne of the Senate of Canada, which is used by the Queen of the Governor for the ceremonial occasions.

The obverse was specifically designed for this coin by A. Machin and bears a special legend and the dates 1952-1977.

The reverse, designed by D. J. Craig and engraved by Ago Aarand, depicts a group of Western Natives showing Kelsey a vast herd of buffaloes.
