Today, these fjords, rivers, and lakes are all a treasured part of Quebec's natural heritage and provide a recreational playground for outdoor enthusiasts who seek solitude, a renewed connection with nature, and peace of mind.

Based on a photograph by Canadian nature photographer Daniel Dagenais, the reverse offers a first-person perspective of a kayak excursion on a river in Quebec. In the crisp morning air, the clouded sunrise and the fog rolling off the steep cliffs add to the sense of stillness in the air.
