Today I received my first piece of silver. ARRRGGHH!! ME BE STASHIN BOOTY!!!

in #silver7 years ago (edited)

I've always been told by many-a-folk, that I should be trading a certain portion of my crypto-currencies for precious metals. Now gold is far too much for my budget, so it seemed that silver would be a more attainable asset to accumulate.

It seems a wise thing to do and with the way things are going in the real-world, it seems a no-brainer, doesn't it?
Whether the world turns from Fiat to digital is anyone's guess and I would hedge my bets on a more electrified existence being the outcome... Either way, I will hopefully have a nice amount silver stocked away to secure my daughters future sanity.

So now lets take a look at what all the fuss is about(my own fuss, granted).

Here is a coin I have purchased from Ebay, for £25. It is in fantastic condition and the design is very mesmeric. I actually missed the post-man and was made to wait a whole weekend before I could collect my first ever silver coin.

WELL WORTH THE WAIT

Thats great.....but it sure has its risk - securing it from thieves

Like anything matey, if they want it, they will take it. You can't stop a mad-man and it is only money. That can be always be replaced.

Love your perspective towards material things. Indeed...it can be replaced!

Learnt it all from my own mistakes ;)

very nice, I just got a couple Queen's beasts the other day with crypto, good for locking in profits.

Haha I have a facebook page with the same name as you(Ministry of truth). Followed!

nice! thanks for following!

Most certainly. Do you have any pics? Would love to see what's out there.

That is a nice design, I like that a lot! Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? I want to buy more and there are 2 at my local shop for £40. They are shakespear £20 silver coin(Is this a good deal?)

yea i paid about $40 or about 30 pounds. 20 seems like a good deal. these are 2 oz silver coins and spot is at $16 or roughly 12 gbp for comparison.

yeah that sounds good to me. will definitely look for more. have you heard of mintbuilder.com? I have been approached by a guy wanting to get me to sign up but sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

I got mine on apmex and they take bitcoin too, but dont know how their prices compare to other dealers, the prices seem reasonable.

ok I will check them out. Thanks. There is also a guy on steemit mcalled @pit-bullion he makes and sells silver but not sure if it is large amounts only

check you out styling it with the silver, bling bling xx

haha. Apparently it's called "stacking". Be a nice set of false teeth when I am older. ;)

Let the stacking begin!

Haha! Yes buddy ;)

congratulation
