Brand New Gondola
It was thrilling to witness releasing a brand new gondola to the wild, while walking with no particular purpose thru Venice streets. It was a beautiful day, the sun burning ancient pavers on midday empty streets. Wind barely tickling window shutters ...
....and on a next turn you dive right in into a party celebrating new gondola gliding Venice canal for the first time
happy owner made a small circle trying it out and party began

It was fueled with Venetian spirit :) It seems like this is what they do - who would own fancy BMW in a city, there gets a gondola. Who would ride a clanker, owns a rusty boat :) .... but funnily or sadly, one time I saw a sad and very back gondola and stunned with realization - they should use some for the funerals too

Classic! And I can see there is another Venice that I never seen before. Casual but lovely! Great shots!
Authentic - is what we tried to look for and experience in our trip! Stayed at airbnb flat from local guys, who shown us where to go, except tourist lines :)
..... and hey, I have yet to share my socks drying on second floor over the canal - Venetian style hehe
That would be sme...oh it's dried, so it's cool if we can see it LOL

In fact everything in Venice smells the same after some point - sea-canal-something, which is slat water, but canals are clean :)
