Klärschlamm wird mit einer Chemikalie behandelt, was zu einer Flockung führt.
Der geflockte Schlamm wird auf einem Siebband aufgegeben. Freigesetztes Wasser kann durch das Band ablaufen. Der entwässerte Schlamm fällt am Ende des Bandes aus der Maschine raus.
