We've been doing a number of crafting and handmade type businesses lately and I'm really digging this style of business for a number of reasons. It can typically be started up pretty cheaply. You're not reliant on suppliers and don't need to go overseas or import anything. You tend to have more unique items which means less competition. And you tend to get a nice sense of pride when you create something yourself.

That's exactly what today's side hustler did. What started as just trying to find a creative way to make a gift for his mother, morphed into an Etsy shop which to date has made over $40,000 and has become this side hustlers main source of income.
