Ridley Scott Talks Continuing Story of 'Alien' Franchise Post 'Covenant'
Although Alien football : Covnant at the box office is not so fantastic, but the movie besutan Ridley Scott is often praised for succeeding in generating more privileges Alien franchise, the brutal Xenomorph attacks against humans are packed in a gripping atmosphere and tense. Armed with this positive response, Scott also got a lot of support from Alien fans to make a Covenant advanced film. Especially since the beginning of Scott had promised he would make one or two more Alien prequel films post Covenant , before it will all lead to his original film released 1979.
Through an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Scott finally ensures he and the production team are ready to make a Covenant sequel. But he underlined, he intends to minimize the things related to Alien in the upcoming movie. The reason, Scott felt to have met the demand of fans in the Covenant , by deploying more Xenomorph of various types. As a result, for the Covenant sequel still look interesting and not repetitive, Scott felt must find another story that is not less compelling.
Now, regarding the new story prepared for the Covenant sequel later, Scott signals he will focus on the story of artificial intelligence (AI), like the character of Michael Fassbender for example. Scott thinks AI is more dangerous, and it makes their story more interesting, so it deserves to be the core plot of the film. If we observe, Scott's vision to focus on the AI has actually been indicated through the Covenant , in which the AI Fassbender character appears more prominent than the human character.
Meanwhile, Scott's confession that he will make the Covenant sequel considered quite surprising. Because, after the Covenant was less successful financially, Fox is reportedly considering not continuing the Alien prequel series. However, with the certainty of the Covenant sequel to be made, it is now only a matter of time before Scott with the studio determines his film production schedule.

@showflix - took my wife out ot watch alien covenant and she had nighmares after that - gave me an earful for two days for taking her for such a 'depressing' movie :)
