My hypothesis about death, life and what we should do.

in #showerthoughts7 years ago

I was motivated by this subject, after reading a post here on steemit, with the question what will happen after we died.
And i was writing a comment about it, and then noticed the comment was very long, then i thought, ill might as well right a topic about it.
So if you want to read the full topic, then click here.
From my point of view, it was a good written topic about a subject, what many people don't want to talk about.
Its nice or fun to see death in a movie, but talking about it, is a complete other ball game.

Basically the question is, what will happen after you died?
Some people will say, by looking at the art, you can recognize the artist.
But when i look at every aspect of life, what i personally witness, encountered and experienced.

Then i can honestly say, that i can't even imagine who or what or how this incredible force of our reality is or works.

And that is basically the question about death, death is the blue print of our existence.
In a way that we can only figure out, what that is, when we are death.
There is no way to find answers about death, and the only state of mind what could come near death, is by going in a deep meditate state of mind, to get rid of the physical world.

That is only possible if you understand how pain works or how you get grief or sorrow, after loosing a partner or family member, and by not letting this knowledge touch your state of mind, that can only be done by training your mind.

Because that will happened when we died, our connection with our physical body will disconnect.
That also means, you can't feel the pain, what killed you, or the grief for your love ones.
In fact our feelings sit in our flesh and blood, and if that don't work anymore, then we can't feel anything anymore. So the fear for what we might feel, after we died is an illusion.

The only thing what people really fear, is the way how we could die, or the fear to feel, how it will be if a family members dies. That fear can make people, depressive or even stop living.
With stop living i mean, they wount do in life, what they really wanted to do.
Its the fear for failure, pain and death, what keep people from living there lives.
And if you ask me, that is just a waste of time and energy.

I mean, why worry about a thought, or a concept what others tried to explain what nobody can't explain?
And if we look at our reality, dying is a natural regular process of life.
Everything dies, even our Sun dies on one day.

So to me personally it don't make sense to worried about what will happen after i died.
Because it looks like, everything and anything got his moment to exist.
And when it does, then it has to do, what its needed to do.
That means, every living or anything what exist must do what it needs to do.

And we humans, can also do what we can do, that could be worried about something what we can't answer,
Or we can enjoy from every aspect of life, and try understand and master every aspect of life, to make sure that we did everything in our power to discover life in our fullest, because only by discovering life, can we enjoy the maximum out of life. It would not make sense to use the time and energy, to fear something what will come on our path anyway.

A better option would be,  trying to understand how our feelings ,mind/body work.
To make sure, that we can take control, and avoid some feelings, and you can even come in the state of mind to activate the feeling you want. Imagine that?

To me, life is something what i will never understand, but i think that is not what i am supposed to do here.
My goal here is to experience life and when my times comes, then it could be game over or another journey will start.
I don't know, but what ever will happened, il already accepted it, because death is part of the natural order of our reality. So my advice would be sit back, relax and discover your ride!
Because death is the end of our journey, and there is no way to know when your time is up or how the finish line will be.

But from where i come from, we have a saying, i was born in the Netherlands, but my parents come from Surinam.
If you see a snake on the ground, let it be, you can walk around it and it wount bite you.
Because a snake is in his natural place of nature, its his right to be there, you as human just need to accept and respect that. This means if you start playing with the snake, because you think its fun, then it will bite you and even kill you.

So what i personally think we should do is, be like kids.
Discover life with an open mind, without any fear for death, or fear for people or there point of view.
To me that is all just waste of time and energy, then you might as well enjoy the moments you have.
Think about every action you do and enjoy from it, because one day will come, that we all can't do those things anymore.

People who where sick and got better, knows that and live there lives, like they have a second chance.
I also feel like that, and not because i was sick, and more because i escaped death a few times.
That made me realized, that death can come, in every moment and every situation, in our lives.
And the only thing, what we can really do is, walk around the snake and move on.
Thanks for reading, upvotes, follows and resteemers in advance!
Cheers

This was a great response! In particular I like the saying about "walking around the snake." I do think this is a great metaphor in that it shows the relationship between ourselves and death in the sense of who holds the power...both do.

Like you said, there is no denying our mortality. The only way to ever of gotten around that was to not be alive in the first place. I also like your statements around not having the 'worry' consume you, even though it can be on the radar.

It is a tough concept for people to think about, either due to the fear of themselves dying and/or the possibility of pain (which you explained very well) as well as the pain of losing those you care about. All of these scenarios are scary to confront as well as the end point of accepting the limitations of what is out of our control (even though we can keep odds in our favor for a period of time.)

In the end, it's all a series of dice rolls...so just enjoy the game. :P

Thank you for your positive response, i must honestly say i was inspired by your post.
But i think that is the point here on Steemit, to read each other posts and then to react on it.
That would create a more interactive platform, who can learn from each other and support each other.

In the gnostic they say, if you want to discover life, then you need to understand first what death is.
Death could be a state of mind or the end of your life, that is basically there message.
Cheerse.

I would argue, the answer to this question depends entirely on your perspective. If you are a body that possesses a soul, one that could be lost or punished, then death becomes a fearsome creature. A grim reaper of souls, ferrying them to destinations that their earthly actions oblige them to inhabit. Heaven and hell.
BUT, if you are a soul that has a body, that changes everything. A soul, a spiritual being is eternal, is forever connected to the eternal, and uses a body as a spacesuit of sorts, to engage and live on the alien planet earth. The body as spacesuit allows the soul to engage in life until it wears out and the soul withdraws, leaving the body but not the spirit behind.
This makes more sense to me, I have always felt God to be an indwelling force, one that unites all of us in a cosmic game. One that the body will always loose but the soul can engage again in a different game, in a different body, at a different time, all with the power and sanction of the higher power in which the soul is forever connected.
My two cents.

Not really, because there is nobody "alive" with the right perspective, about what will happend after we died.
There are only assumptions, what one can believe and someone else will see it as a lie.
That is the truth about death, we cant find out, and we can only assume what might happened.
Or even assume what god could be.

For that reason alone, i am convinced that our job is not to worried about what will happend after died.
And more about what we will do in our live or how we live our life.

And a soul is debatle, to one its a spirit and to others its a non proven concept.
There for i do not bring this subject in a open debate, about what will happend after we died.
And then i would not speak objectivly about this subject, because in the concept of a soul, it will leave the body after it dies, it either go up or down in dimension.

But the soul is an interesting subject.
