Asteroid Florence to pass by Earth

A large asteroid will pay us a visit on Sept 1. But fear not, scientists say the space rock will
safely pass by the Earth. Named after Florence Nightingale (1820-1910), founder of modern
nursing, the asteroid is 4.4 km in size. This is the largest asteroid to pass by Earth so far & is the
closest pass-by of this asteroid since 1890. It will remain to be the closest encounter till after 2500.
