Day 2 of new shopify shop setup

Hello peeps hope you're all well. Today i did a little bit more towards my shopify shop, i mentioned that i'd talk about the boring stuff yesterday (the payments). Well maybe its not so boring but hey here goes. Today i setup the payments which i found a little long winded but got there eventually, most of it is follow on screen stuff and whatever your choices are so i cant really say much there, its the shopify side of things. It automatically sets you up with pay-pal and uses the email you linked with your shop. It was right about that time i realized i had no pay-pal account associated with the email is was using on the shop, now if there was a way of setting up multiple emails on one pay-pal account i have not figured it out yet so i had to create a new and this time create a merchant account rather than a personal one (tax purposes). In my opinion it is worth having separate pay-pal accounts for business and pleasure anyhow. So i've never setup a merchant account on pay-pal and another problem i realized was the lack of bank accounts i had to actually connect this too. Pay pal will not let you link it to an account already linked to another account. So first of all i had to create a separate account with my online bank, not too much of an issue here and was setup rather quickly. Next i had to fill in all the credentials pay-pal require for signing up, just follow and select your own preferences and you should not go too far wrong, making sure to link this account with a new non linked bank account. There are many other options which i found a bit long winded but once setup your ready to rock and roll.

So you've got a new business pay-pal account and linked this to the appropriate bank account, remember to keep personal account separate, it will make life easier in the long run. Some might say about getting a business bank account but this is totally up to you, personally im not a big fan of them, however you may need to if the business hits the mega bucks.

So tomorow i will start to add products and from what ive seen this is fairly easy to do, so until tomorrow guys.
