Shooter in Fort Lauderdale airport
A shooting happened today at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida. A man at the baggage claim shot 5 people (actual numbers are still being confirmed. this number will likely adjust). It was first noted that the suspect was from Canadian airlines-and had his weapons checked in the baggage. Canadian airlines later confirmed that the suspect was not on their flight.
During the live feed of the events, a reporter from the local news noted they were told to evacuate the parking garage where they were reporting from. Fearing that there was a second shooter in the parking garage building.
The suspect, named Esteban Santiago. He was a member of the National Guard and was deployed to Iraq. He went into the Alaskan FBI office to report that he was being forced to work for ISIS.
