prayer is the power of life
WORSHIP is a time when we reflect and surrender to Allah SWT. In this sacred moment, we seem to let go of the world for a moment to communicate intimately with the Creator. (magically)
Islamic psychology specialist Monique Hassan in her article on aboutislam mentions, in worship, we will undoubtedly find calm, because the emotions that rumble in the soul are released.
One of worship in Islam is prayer, which is a gift, a blessing, a moment of self-therapy, and most importantly; its main nature to be carried out in worship.
As Allah says in Surah Thaahaa Verse 14:
اِنَّنِیۡۤ اَنَا اللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّاۤ اَنَا فَاعۡبُدۡنِیۡ ۙ وَ اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوۃَ لِذِکۡرِیۡ
Meaning: Indeed, I am Allah, there is no god but Me, so worship Me and carry out the prayer to remember Me. (QS. Thaahaa 20:14)
Basically, the type of prayer is divided into two. The first is the obligatory prayer which is performed 5 times a day. The two sunnah prayers are established to increase the reward or have a desire.
