Shit Zeke Sees...

I often wonder whether I am the weird one, or I share a world with weird people. To get the answer to that question, I as my powerful and knowledgeable STEEM network.

It seems that, in this small town, people like to park on their lawn. Now, I can see doing this in a pinch under special circumstances for a very short time. Still, while I could justify it personally under these circumstances, I could not imagine doing it myself. Why? Am I weird?

Check out these other examples captured on 2 separate jaunts of 5 minutes or less.

Apparently you can do it enough that it creates another driveway?

Ain't nobody got time for traffic cones!

For context, this is a small town with plenty of driveway space, lots of parking this happens in front of small or big nice houses. Knowing this is 2 trips on only a few streets, you can appreciate that it happens everywhere, probably hundreds of places on any given day here.

Am I the weird one? This happen where you are? What do you think?

Sort:

looks like some of those houses have more cars than they do space for said cars in the driveway. Are you not allowed to park on the street or something?

My father was (and is) incredibly into having an absolutely perfect lawn. He would murder someone for parking on his turf! There was a time as a kid that i left a shield (garbage can lid) in the middle of the yard on a hot summer day and it killed the grass. I got a stern talkin' to that day.

Exactly!

I have no idea. Some streets there is no parking but so much driveway to park on and still use the grass?

I will have to keep snapping pics when I see it. Children of the corn weird stuff. ;)

haha, maybe they are getting ready to wash them, some of them need a good wash.

Not a bucket of soap to be seen and I have never seen one getting cleaned. They could definitely use it you are right. Mine could as well.

🤔... there must be loads of sun there and over time everyone got used to finding shade on lawns 🤷🏽‍♂️ weird for sure

Late September in Canadia. It is not hot and there are plenty of graves and shade even if it was. Townies just park on their grass I guess!

That's just plain weird! I live in a small town too and I rarely see this. You could maybe understand if you had more than one car and only a single car driveway, but not when there's plenty of open street parking. Are people really that last that they can't walk from the curb??

I don’t think it is the length of the walk. Maybe just farm folk parking like they were tractors?

This is a rural farming community - not holding true to your theory, lol.

How far away do you live from Julian and the other trailer park boys? 😂 I loved the empty driveway picture haha...

Sometimes the ones you love are the weirdest of all...

Me: Babe, my car is really dirty, would you mind washing it for me?

Him: Sure, I don't mind at all.

Proceeds to drive the car into the backyard to wash it since that's where the hose is currently hooked up... 🤷‍♀️
