  • The diameter of the rod is measured and the specimen is fixed in a double shear test block with proper side grips and the specimen is inserted into a the block assembly
    • the loae is applied gradually to the specimen by keeping shear block between the plates of utm
    • the ultimate load at the time of failure is noted down image
