Sharks in the Adriatic Sea
In last few years Croatia had become extremely oriented on tourism. Every year more and more tourists are visiting Croatia specially because of sea. Croatia has 1244 islands, we have pure blue sea and anyone who didn’t visit Croatia I totally recommend to visit.
My place of peace in the summer is old town Dubrovnik, yes it is place where the Game of thornes series are filmed. It is really beautiful city with beautiful beaches. I love to swim a lot, but I was always wondering about sharks in the Adriatic sea so I was tried to search something about that.
I have read that in the Adriatic sea there are about ten thousands of sharks, but the chance that you will be attacked is similar the chance of winning the jack pot on lottery :D
The most common species is shark called ‘dugonosa psina’ which has been seen first in the 1970 near the island of Mljet. It is not the the most dangerous shark.
Great white shark the shark that is the biggest predator of them all has been seen on Vis island in 2007 year, but nobody didn’t believed about that. After the attack on Slovenian diver the examine of the tooth which is founded in his body, was proved that the diver was attacked by great white shark. But the ting is what he was attacked is because that he was fihing and diving and he had killed fish in the net which was attached to his body.
I think that there is not space for fear because the death attack was in 1974 near Omiš. It was long time ago, and the total amount of attack that is been registered was about ten.
In nature of sharks is to swim for tuna hauls so they are fare away from coastal and tourists area. The biggest myth about sharks is produced with movie Jaws, yes that is scary movie but it is not real and causing people fear and there is not room for it especially in the Adriatic sea :D
So next time if you come to Croatia enjoy, as I said it is the better chance to win the lottery than be attacked by the shark.

That's so funny! Last night I was looking at online articles of "Fun things that can kill you" because of another steemian's post. It seems that you are more likely to get killed taking a selfie than you are to be killed by a shark. I thought it was the craziest comparisions for ways to die!
