Yes, I love those old buildings too! The exact year, when ours was built is somewhat unclear... it is confirmed, that 1707 a two story building with a tavern was there. The permission by the the duke of Bavaria of running a tavern there still exists.. although it is of no legal value today.

A second floor was added in the 19th century and I love discovering writing on old beams when I clean them.

That ladder wasn't in a dangerous position. At least not for me, as you can see ;-)
