BMW Cross Spoke 72V 18" Wheel - E46 Late 90s Early 00s splendor!

This is a 8x18" BMW 72V M wheel I recently purchased. The one above is the front wheel with tire measuring 225/40ZR18.

The rear wheels are 8.5x18" with tires measuring 255/35ZR18. On any E46 these wheels will lead to more drag and subsequently higher consumption but then again who can resist those looks?

The wheels were missing the logos when I bought them so I fitted the ones off of my 68M 5-spoke 17" wheels which fit perfectly. For the new wheels I got a set of roundels and "///M" badges which I have yet to install:

The wheels were easy to clean and paint is in great condition, also there is only one small scratch from parking in the clear coat so the previous owner did a great job in watching out for these! Kudos.

I'm actually not sure what I prefer yet. One version is flat and sort of indented while this one is a bigger roundel which is curved to the outside.

I don't think these have ever been repainted so the condition given the age of at least 15 years is pretty impressive.

These wheels were an option on all E46s and came as a standard only on the 330Ci Club Sport. Mostly they were ordered for 330s as well as M-package equipped E46s of all colors. Interestingly, the rear wheels are identical to the front ones in terms of star and lip and don't give away their .5" wider style visually except for the more offset wheel lugs.

These two wheels are both 8x18 front ones. Will post an update on the rear wheels once I get around to cleaning them.
