Anyway the scatter chrome extension is similar to metamask or lets say ...steem keychain by @yabapmatt if we had something like scatter... and that's pretty much our advanced version of #metamask on eos ... but scatter also handles #ethereum and #tron so its beyond metamask. Anyway there are a lot if new things by thereof like built in exchange but also Ridl integration into Scatter as Defender, the idea of a user run marketplace, so many new possibilities.
