Sonic Groove Live, Week 22 - Moscow nights (Cover)

When announcing the week, you may notice that I had doubts, and finally I was wrong. This video was for the previous week (week 21), because I wanted to present the two songs that I recorded during a rehearsal with my salsa group. But fortunately I didn't say 222, because I would have had to wait 200 more weeks... 🤣

This song, one of the best known Russian songs worldwide, was the beginning and starting point of my project. For this reason it has a very special meaning for me. Besides that it produces a lot of emotion and nostalgia, bringing to me beautiful memories of the time I lived in Moscow, when I was almost a child.

A little known story of this song is that it was originally written dedicated to the city of Leningrad ("Leningrad Nights"), but for a movie they needed a song dedicated to Moscow and they asked the authors to make the adaptation. The creators of the song are Vasili Soloviov-Sedói, author of the music, with the lyrics of Mikhail Matusovski.

For me it was not easy to make the adaptation, because this song is always sung very softly, but the Latin expresses even the softest, calm and even sad feelings, with a lot of rhythm and energy. So it was a difficult challenge, that's why the project summary says: Russia with Latin Feeling...

Al anunciar la semana, podrán notar que tuve dudas, y finalmente me equivoqué. Este video era para la semana anterior (la 21), pues quería presentar seguidas las dos canciones que grabé durante ese ensayo con mi grupo de salsa. Pero afortunadamente no dije 222, que me hubiera tocado esperar 200 semanas más... 🤣

Esta canción, una de las canciones rusas más conocidas mundialmente, fue el inicio y punto de partida de mi proyecto. Por esta razón tiene un significado muy especial para mí. Además de que me produce mucha emoción y nostalgia, al traerme hermosos recuerdos del tiempo que viví en Moscú, cuando era casi un niño.

Una historia poco conocida de esta canción, es que originalmente fue escrita dedicada a la ciudad de Leningrado ("Noches de Leningrado"), pero para una película necesitaban una canción dedicada a Moscú y le pidieron a los autores hacer la adaptación. Los creadores de la canción son Vasili Soloviov-Sedói, autor de la música, con la letra de Mijaíl Matusovski.

Para mí no fue n fácil hacer la adaptación, porque esta canción siempre se canta muy suave, pero el latino expresa hasta los sentimientos más suaves, tranquilos y hasta tristes, con mucho ritmo y energía. Así que fue un reto difícil, por eso el resumen del proyecto dice: Rusia con Sentimiento Latino...

Wo ich die Woche ankündige, werdet Iht vielleicht bemerken, dass ich Zweifel hatte und mich letztendlich geirrt habe. Dieses Video war für die vorige Woche (21), weil ich die beiden Songs die ich während einer Probe mit meiner Salsa-Gruppe aufgenommen hatte, vorstellen wollte. Aber zum Glück habe ich nicht 222 gesagt, sonst hätte ich 200 weitere Wochen warten müssen... 🤣

Dieses Lied, eines der bekanntesten russischen Lieder weltweit, war der Anfang und Ausgangspunkt meines Projekts. Aus diesem Grund hat es für mich eine ganz besondere Bedeutung. Außerdem erzeugt es eine Menge Emotionen und Nostalgie und bringt mir schöne Erinnerungen an die Zeit, als ich fast ein Kind war, in Moskau.

Eine wenig bekannte Geschichte über dieses Lied ist, dass es ursprünglich der Stadt Leningrad gewidmet war ("Leningrader Nächte"), aber für einen Film brauchten sie ein Lied, das an Moskau gewidmet wäre, und sie baten die Autoren, die Adaption vorzunehmen. Die Schöpfer des Liedes sind Vasili Soloviov-Sedói, Autor der Musik, mit den Texten von Mikhail Matusovski.

Für mich war es nicht einfach, die Adaption zu machen, da dieses Lied immer sehr leise gesungen wird, aber der Latino drückt selbst die leisesten, ruhigsten und sogar traurigsten Gefühle mit viel Rhythmus und Energie aus.
