Adult film star suing for assault?

Headline say's it all. I wrote this a few months ago and it still stands. It doesn't matter if it is the adult industry or anywhere, the same rules apply. I will note that one the comments on the article stuck out:
"This just in...woman jumps in lion pit, sues lion for mauling her. Duh!"
Now I don't exactly agree with that. I don't like the adult industry as a whole.

People hate fences and that's why we look for loopholes and excuses to by-pass them. Generally a fence is to keep you away from something. If we hop over those fences, we are breaching something that could cause us an issue. Human beings are the same as they were thousands of years ago. Rape, promiscuity, and adultery have always existed. We recognize that this will not change. So in order to protect people; there were fences created. One such fence (if you are a man), is not being alone with a woman (who is not family). If you have business dealings or even personal dealings, it is wise to leave the door open for people to see.
We hear of so many scandal's involving rape, sexual harassment, and false allegations. Many people were floored and surprised to hear of such allegations against a "family" man like Bill Cosby. How could this man known as a "family man" and someone vehemently against "swearing" commit such allegations against him. Well to be frank, he is a human being and is under the umbrella of any kind of temptation. When our money grows, perhaps so do our temptations.
Occupations that Result in Sexual Immorality
Some occupations require that a person be alone with members of the opposite sex. "A person should not teach his son a trade that requires that he be among women." (Kiddushin 82) This is of course just a fence. If a man's profession requires that he be constantly be with women (and often alone with these women), it can result in inappropriate behavior. Of course this might be difficult in this day and age, especially with everyone being so"equal". Why should we do this, and why should we do that. I shouldn't have too right? It's a free world, and everyone is "equal". In essence and in secular Western-culture we basically say this is impossible to do in this day and age.
Our Rabbis taught: Whoever’s business is with women has bad character, for example: goldsmiths [who make jewelry for women], carders, handmill cleaners, door-to-door perfume salesmen, barbers [women bring their children to him for haircuts], launderers, bloodletters, bathhouse attendants, and tanners [who make clothing from skins for women]. These cannot be made appointed neither as kings nor as high priests. Why? Not because they are legally disqualified; but because their profession is undignified (Babylonian Talmud, Kiddushin 82a).
The story of Rabbi Kahana who used to sell baskets to women is interesting to look at. One day a Roman matron tried to force him to have illicit relations with her. To escape, he went to the roof and flung himself from it. Elijah the prophet caught him and complained that he had to travel a distance of four hundred parsang's to save him. Rabbi Kahana explained that it was his great poverty that caused him to go into this line of work. Elijah then gave him a vessel filled with golden dinarim.
olitical groups and Hollywood sneer at any sound or ethical advice. Is it no wonder why these groups are surrounded by lawyers and over all seediness that some time or another comes to light? I have written about this before, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. We can agree that it is equally abhorrent when someone wishes to blackmail or have their revenge with false allegations. In order to subdue the situation in either case (sexual harrassment/false allegations), would it not be prudent to do business out in the open field for everyone to see?

People are so stupid in how they handle things. Dah. Yes you get in a loins space you run the risk may get hurt. You make yourself vulnerable in sex or anything else, you place yourself at risk. A third part witness may help. Perhaps they smell money (suit) or advance themselves with fame. I do not know. Common sense is thrown to the wind. Folks are stupid. LOL Thanks @bearbear613
Can't really get a clear picture on this one. The thing is that the report (from link you gave) and charges filed say that she was beaten and thus the implication would be battery.
Usually rape goes pretty much unreported in the adult industry. The cause being that the porn stars won't be employed by anyone anymore once they file the charges for rape.
You are right in the sense that precaution is always better than the cure. Also in most of the older cultures, closed doors are only meant for one's resting place (house/bedroom)
It's probably hard to prove "rape" for adult film stars considering they are there for the "deed" and more than likely sign consent forms. Battery also may be difficult to prove as it was part of the "shoot".
Keeping the door open is the best solution as well as having a witness. If I were a teenager again I would think it's way too risky sleeping with a women; or even being alone. It's getting vicious out there and many women are using this more as a weapon to extort.
Men and women both have abused their powers in the past. Women can now manipulate the system to it and the just makes it one degree more sinister. The sad truth is that it is the other decent women who would be long term victims. A lot of good men have already said their tata's to a couple life.
