LA SEXUALIDAD EN LA EDAD ESCOLAR (DESDE LOS 6 AÑOS HASTA ANTES DE LA PUBERTAD)

Es un periodo de fantasías sexuales y enamoramientos, por lo general, estos contactos enseñan al niño a relacionarse con los demás y son importantes con vistas al ajuste psicosexual de la etapa adulta (money, 1980). Todo ello es valido para los escarceos o juegos homosexuales, que no significan que el niño, en su edad adulta, tenga que mostrar una orientación homosexual. Cada vez que en la televisión aparecen secuencias con besos en imágenes eróticas de parejas o de una mujer, el niño se coloca la mano dentro de pantalones e inicia una manipulación peneana, que queda en erección hasta que sus padres (madre) le dicen que eso no esta bien, que es feo y malo. Albert bd. 6 años de edad. Consulta del padre, preocupado por un problema sexual del niño. Afirma que descubrió a su hijo con una niña vecina, de 10 años de edad. La niña quedo muy azorada. Se estaban tocando los genitales en la cama. El padre me pregunta si lo que paso es malo para la salud psíquica de su hijo, ya que consideraba que la niña sabía lo que hacía. Según el padre, estaba “sexualmente preparada”. Gerardnm. 8 años de edad. El niño afirma en mi consulta, a petición de su madre “al ver en la televisión cualquier tipo películas con escenas de amor, o al ver mujeres desnudas, siento un cosquilleo en el pene y se me pone tieso”. Además, me refiere que tiene una novia y que juntos hacen el amor: darse besos y todo lo demás… esto no debe alarmar a los padres, y seguramente no es excesivo reiterar la inconveniencia de la represión. La actitud mas sana es asumir estos hechos con naturalidad, sin trasmitir miedo, manteniendo el dialogo con sus hijos y explicándoles correctamente, según sus edades todo lo relativo a la sexualidad.
