PTSD due to sexual abuse

A local PsychDoc called me as she was getting ready to see a 22 year in her second pregnancy. Wanted to be sure to pick the lesser of the evils medication wise. I later heard that she asked her patient if she was planning to breast feed. The patient said that she had breast fed her first baby for three months but that she may not it again. Every time she breast fed she had constant flashback after flashback. My heart sank. It turns out this patient was sexually abused starting at the age of SIX years of age.
These "family" members not only stole her childhood but also stole a key part of her motherhood.

Here is my plea. If you anyone in power please alert them to the fact that there is very very little research in this specific area. I personally think this type of PTSD has to be a million times worse than anything a soldier can go through. A soldier knows an enemy is out to kill him. A six year old girl attacked by people that people that are not supposed to be enemies but are folks that are meant to protect her. This has to be worse yet I find almost NO research on this type of patients. All reasearch is on soldiers.
