There are many Amish communities here. It is an interesting culture.

I have a couple friends who are Mormons. The Amish run produce stands and bakeries from their homes. They sell jam and pickles and pies and breads. Often it is the children who are working there, though and they are rather shy.One guy raises trout in a stream that runs through his farm. You have to bring your own bucket and he scoops them out for you. He is not talkative, though!
They are a closed community, at least that's what I've seen in the movies, they don't like outsiders.
