That was a long story but worth reading. Yeah, I'd rather say "together forever" than "happily ever after". Because really it's not always going to be happy.
Happiness is not always a bed of roses. After weddings, your spouse will give you a minimum of thousand painful memories. There will be struggles and pain. But, one good memory a day will always make you stay and hold on to your vows.
Hahahaha I love your real comments @beatenegg. Yeah it's because of the willingness to stick together through the hard times, that makes marriage MARRIAGE ! It is really like what you said, we hold on to our vows, whether we feel like it or not, it is a lifelong commitment towards each other than speaks louder than "wanting to love or not". When we can love in unhappiness, that's what commitment is :)
