RE: Day 3 — gulls in a row — 7 day black & white photo challenge
Really love the spacing of the gulls from densely gathered to single gulls. And how they line up in a row parallel to the horizon ~ With all their unique posturing. A lovely serene quality in your photograph @countrygirl Resteemed.🦋
Thank you for such an in depth review @allyinspirit! It was a unique opportunity, that's for sure. The were all lined up waiting for me! But seriously they were hanging out on a sand dune - I got a couple of shots then they got spooked. I found from photographing birds that they react to the click of the camera even if it's quiet.
Pleasure @countrygirl. Photography sometimes demands that we be 'quieter' than we usually are ~ To see situations and respond to them, not just quickly but as quietly as possible. And even then those gulls must have been so sensitive.
I love those special times when we are virtually 'given' an image to capture like this one.
Most of the beaches close to me are surf beaches and sometimes I long for those beaches with never ending shallows and sand-bars. They have such a mystical quality. 🦋
You have a creative and poetical way with words. I can tell you take time to observe your surroundings and find those things that quiet the soul.
I wish I could write such lovely in-depth descriptions of the photos! :)
😊 I'm striving to simplify ~ Just always seems to evade me. 😊
Haha 😁
