When the timber roofs over the pits rotted and collapsed all the earth piled thickly on top collapsed too, damaging most of the figures. I suspect this one was not entirely intact, but the restorers were able to match a head to a torso and mend it back together.
Statues of warriors, a history that brings new victories. Dualism of the Black and White world, an excellent choice of photography.
