Service year in osun in detail.

Yesterday, I shared some of my experience while serving in ife north local government in osun in one of my blog. Today I would like to talk about the stayed and details of the program I embarked on while serving in osun. It take us three week to stay in camp in Ede the city of the known Adeleke, the father of Davido. After the camp and the distribution of our posting letter which explain details of where various Corp member were deployed to for various assignment that is called place of primary assignment (ppa).

After being accepted in various ppa that you are assigned to by nysc official, you are expected to open file before you embarked on two weeks leave with the acceptance letter given by your co employer. Then you are free to traveled and expected to resume to your place of primary assignment (ppa) at the end of that two weeks holiday which serve for preparation for you to resume fully back to your ppa.

Service year started by visiting your ppa and you will be assigned duty to perform in the organization. Here in osun State There is no industry. There is tendencies that 96% of all Corp member post to osun will serve in schools and probably local government secretariat. For me I thought due to my field I was thinking am going to be posted to either construction company or ministry of works because I studied civil engineering.

I was posted to serves at unity school in ife north local government, ipetumodu to be precise.the name of the school is federal government girl's college. I was given technical drawing and basic technology (TD and BTE) to handle in the school. The little I can share about the school was their assembly ground take place every Monday and Friday. The staff in the school entirely are wonderful set of people who feel that their child also is in a neighboring state serving their fatherland.

After that, another participation that is essential for every Corp member during their service year is community development service (CDS) this is a program where every Corp member sign in to partake and to add his or her quota to the development of the various community they are serving. An example of such Cds group are nafdac, roadsafey, Cpet, sdg, inec and many more. Am in nafdac cds group and all it entails is about drug, and how to prevent people from abusing drug and other sarcosant substance.

Many other thing are also part of service year but this are the most essential part of it. let me rest here for now.
