Lost but not completely 2

It was later that night that Elizabeth had coded. He left the hospital with an empty heart and an expressionless look. She wanted him to move on but now was hardly the time to think about that. Before he know it 1 week turned to three; three to 14 and by week 17 it was as though he had all but forgotten about her dying wishes and had completely lost himself to the abyss. While his heart remained empty his liver became full. Every night he went to the bar that the two of them had met and drank himself into a blind stupor. It was there that a newer bartender named Kelly began to grow curious about the salty regular with soft features and a face plastered with pain.

One rainy afternoon she asked John another regular the only person she had ever witnessed talk to the man even just in short. When she finally worked up the nerve to ask John gave a sigh and ordered 2 drinks one for himself and for the curious spectator. J told her everything he knew; how they were friends before the incident how he had known him for years even before Elizabeth had come into the picture and how her lose a damn near done all but completely destroy what was an impeccably happy man.
