Lost but not completely

Elizabeth was his everything the one person who could truly get through all of his barriers. Their romance was years in the making him an acquired taste for many and her the curious spectator who stayed around long enough to understand the true person he was. One day as he was having a smoke drifting into his memories of their time together quietly pondering if he was still in reality as everything seemed to be perfect. It was in that moment that his cell phone rang startling him out of the trance like state he was in. Already feeling as though something was amiss with a sense of dread he answered meekly. The voice on the other end pierced through the phone speakers; the caller said again Elizabeth was in an accident and things were not looking good.

His heart dropped and his smoke smothered out the fake reality had finally broken and he was back to where he had been all those years ago before their love had kindled and he had finally begun to feel complete. When he had finally composed himself and arrived at the hospital to be by her side the doctors struck the tragic news that there was not much time remaining.This being news that was instinctively know he asked for time alone. For the remaining time Elizabeth had left he never left her side. Their souls communicated she pleaded for him to march on even without her there by his sided. For she know the man he could be and that was the reason she fell in love with him and it would be difficult to rest if he fell apart at the loss of his love.
