SEO & the Sleeper Giants
SEO Sleeper Giants are these behemoth companies with tons of content, obviously full marketing teams, but little market recognition such as EveryDayHealth (for more details: https://bad.media/who-is-everydayhealth/). You haven't heard about them, well they are only in the top 100 websites for organic traffic in the World and there are many others like them too.
These companies have created powerful seo optimized websites with a constant stream of content and they garner millions of organic hits per month worth millions of US dollars. My question, is when do these companies go belly up? If there sole income source is seo and ad revenue and their websites provide sub-prime content when will the search Gods start to penalize such companies? As back-links morph into quality pr like content and ux/behavior plays a greater role such companies may fade but with such large budgets many of the top ones will find a way to survive.
SEO Tip: Do no try to be like these content heavy sites but instead focus on creating solid evergreen content with supporting content that evolves with time. Your pages will have greater value and therefore garner higher serps as your authority grows. Focus on Quality not quantity.
