Self Education Ep. 115: How to Be Great - Aaron St. Hilaire
How to Be Great
We all want to be great in some way at some things, maybe even a lot of things, a great husband, wife, co-worker, boss, mother, father, son daughter, etc.
If you’re like me, you want to be great at plenty of things. To be the best it’s true, you do have to know your strengths and improve on your strengths continuously. However, you also have to embrace your weaknesses because you can’t become by being the best.
You become the best by knowing already that you’re not the best and striving to become the best. Every single day you want to be a little bit better than yesterday.
Continually progressing towards the things that you want provides ultimate satisfaction.
The people that don’t think there is any room for improvement, odds are, they have room for improvement because nobody’s perfect. Don’t be that “I know everything” guy. Thinking you know everything can not only make you delusional, but also lazier, because if you think you have nothing to improve on, you’d think you can sit back and chill.
The reality is you should be going hard every single day. Whatever you’re great at, you can be better.
Don’t think you know it all because you might learn from somebody you otherwise thought you wouldn’t.
So ask yourself, what are you good at?
I’m good at Facebook ads, marketing, and other things, but I can be better.
Dig deeper into your subject, how much more can you learn?
Answer that and you can better yourself and become great.
Acknowledging the fact that you’re not perfect, grants you the opportunity to achieve perfection.
Think better, think great.
