Saint Gabriel Possenti Feast Day

This weekend is the Feast Day of the Patron Saint of handgun owners - Saint Gabriel Possenti. It is said that as a young man Possenti was able to scare off a gang of criminals from attacking a village with his handgun. In the story, Possenti did not harm any of the attackers, but he did frighten them by demonstrating his excellent marksmanship.

Possenti has been the inspiration for the Saint Gabriel Possenti Society in the U.S.
