The Secret of proverbial 'Financial Freedom': learn to let go, to be self-sufficient.

in #self-sufficiency7 years ago (edited)

Notoriously infamous phrase 'Financial Freedom' has become some sort of a gimmick or even rather a verbal trick, some kind of NLP trigger, employed to drive people on and on. It is even believed to be somewhat synonymous to another no less famous phrase: "Pursuit of Happiness". As if actual Happiness equals to having money or proportional to their quantity.

A lot of people try to figure out : what is that so called 'Financial Freedom' and what can help them to actually achieve it. Many books and e-books are written, published, sold on this subject, as well as audiobooks narrated. No less then books, there are all sorts of movies, Vlogs and blogs, seminars and webinars, masterclasses etc. That happens for quite obvious reason: apparently so many people out there are feeling neither so much free, nor so happy. Thus they are eagerly and desperately constantly search and look for the "Secret". Yeah, so much that some even have made it into a book with such exact title! :)

Why then despite all those various and multiple courses, books and other materials a lot of people still feel no closer to that cherished goal of so called 'Financial Freedom' ? What's the real secret of it? It is quite simple actually! As it often happens: the most authentic thing usually is "hidden in the open", in other words lies on the surface for all to see.

The real secret of proverbial "Financial Freedom" is ... **to be FREE from Finances! **:)
That's the only way to be really free: not to be involved in or entangled by the Finance system.
At very least not to get too much attachment, addiction to or dependency on it.

Otherwise the so called "Financial Freedom" is quite self-contradictory term (i.e. oxymoron)
Because the Finances by their very idea and essence are bondage or even slavery, especially in their form of Financial System. They are not meant to provide the actual Freedom, but quite the very opposite: to ensure one's total involvement, participation, full attention and focus, to get more or less successful results. Therefore this phrase "Financial Freedom" is nothing else than just an intricate, very elaborate trap. In fact quite devious one: the more one tries to pursue it, the more he gets entangled into it. Well, after all, that's the whole idea of those who has invented this Financial System and its clever gimmick, the so called "Financial Freedom" : to mislead people into believing this Illusion.

It rather reminds of the trick of how rural folks catch the monkey by placing banana into jar (or rice, nuts, sweets into coconut or gourd shell). Monkey sort of catches itself: it simply doesn't want to let go of his precious prize, held in hand and thus can't take out hand out of jar - letting villagers to catch it.

In the same way, mislead people are unwilling to let go of their never ending Pursuit of ... no, not of the actual Happiness! :)
But Pursuit of what has become its cleverly forged substitute: Pursuit of the soc called "Financial Freedom". As if "Financial Freedom" by default equals to or synonymous with the real Happiness. Similarly to that fabled Monkey with the Jar, such people entrap themselves, by holding so tight on to that ephemeral ever elusive allure of a forgery. The tighter they grasp it, the more dependent they are on it and more vulnerable to actual bondage, as that monkey to hunters' net. However they do not realize that the whole device of this seemingly intricate trap totally depends solely on exploiting their own vanity and weakness: desire to get that precious prize no matter what! Even at the cost of ... their real actual Freedom.

So, how can that Monkey become Free and get away from its hunters? That's right: by letting go of that desired fruit, which is associated with the Ultimate Desire: to achieve Happiness. Which is neither in the fulfillment of an urge to have that banana, nor in the enslaving oneself to Financial System. Happiness is in staying alive and free, first of all - which would allow that Monkey to find some other bananas. In the same way, by letting go of the oxymoronic idea of so called "Financial Freedom" and its Pursuit under the name of real Happiness, one may really experience actual Freedom. Well, or let's just say: feel less of its pangs! :)

It doesn't mean that person must stop using money or earning them, no!
(Although perhaps that would have been an ideal and perfect)
What it means is: to become less attached, addicted to or dependent on money and "Finance" for being really Happy.
Money is just a tool, one form of energy; while Finance is just a clever system of how to force people constantly think of money. While Happiness is a state of mind, consciousness. It depends on many other things in their aggregation.
In regard to money, one has to learn how to practice inner 'self sufficiency': to be content and satisfied with that amount of money which one has, be it 1 unit of money, or 100, 1000 or a million. Otherwise unless person learns this inner 'self sufficiency', then no matter how much money that person may have - it will never be enough. Thus such inner 'self sufficiency' actually means: to be able manage any amount of money in such a way that it would be enough. After all, that's the original supposed meaning and purpose of Finance: to manage money properly. (It's such a shame that it has got twisted into something else entirely, which has become rather an elaborate enslavement system)

that's actually what and how propagators of so called "Financial Freedom" lure a lot of people to: by some sort of a utopian idealistic picture where they will have anything and everything they want, unlimited - simply because they will have unlimited money. (roft)

not telling about:

  1. all the "costs" of getting there;
  2. "costs" of maintaining such level of luxury;
    ("costs" are not measured only in money, but in time, energy, nerves, problems in relations, etc)

as well as exploiting people's natural urge to shake off the yoke of this whole financial-monetary-banking system, which thrives on usury (aka "Ribah"), debts trading and fractional reserve banking. the system which imposes tremendous burden upon each individual involved with it more or less: because they have to use money.

so, combining these 2 things, they have coined out this oxymoronic gimmick: "Financial Freedom". (roft)
which is being cleverly used to make people precisely that: MORE consumers, ideally while doing nothing, but in fact as a result inevitably more enslaved into this system of trying to achieve that utopian wonderland of so called "Financial Freedom".

while actual Freedom is intrinsic, something no any kind of money or their amount can buy! it is something within, intangible and priceless. not measured in material goods.
