Upmewhale Writing Contest - Restricted & Unrestricted Internet - Freedom World.
The problems in Venezuela are known worldwide and the internet does not escape it. It is good that in this contest we will discover the minors of the internet according to the countries in the world, for my part I will provide data on the use of the internet in my country Venezuela.
The restrictions are many, starting with the fact that almost no one has access to the internet, neither homes nor companies, due to the cutting of the cables by unscrupulous people who steal the cables to sell their copper material and which is very well paid .
In particular, a group of neighbors on a street had to pay 4 boys to watch the cables day and night to have the service.
Who does not do this, has to pass the claim to the service provider and wait to see if they solve the problem, but always answer that they have no material to supplant the missing cable. So there are many areas that do not have internet.
The government is not interested in people having internet since they do not want them to know the news and can not comment on the bad government that exists.
For those who are followers of the government, the internet is free. You can offend those who disagree with the people who govern and can make any kind of publications.
The others are sanctioned with page closures and even go to jail for making a comment that goes against their ideas.
I remember very well how I did my homework from school, searching from book to book or going to a library was the most used among children. The internet revolutionized the way of doing homework since whoever had access to the internet could have more search options and work was better rewarded.
The internet has helped in all sectors of life, studies, science, politics, ect. and people have had to educate themselves to know how to use it and develop skills to move within it. Even for telephone calls the internet has served, and in Venezuela there have been many people who have had to migrate and this has served to communicate with their families.
If you do not know how to handle a whatsapp or a computer then you are falling behind with the technology that is more advanced every day.
The pages sensed in Venezuela are many, mainly those that make currency transfers, Pay Pal does not work in the country so you have to resort to others that sometimes have many requirements or are looking for people who have an account in Venezuela and can receive the currency to turn it into bolivars.
The games already pay rewards in cryptocurrencies that you can change to the currency. Here I want to mention that Steemit is not blocked in the country but gave rise to another cryptocurrency, the Petro, but there are many doubts about this token and it is only for the government.
On the internet there are many pages that use cryptocurrencies and it is that who does not know what it is, has not seen the magnitude of the impact it has had worldwide. Even the banks now use the blockchain because they have seen how serious, strong and secure it is within the internet world, and that is to be protected.
This is my participation in this contest that starts @upmewhale and is my opinion on the internet in my country. I hope you like it.
