Stop Complaining, Start acting.

in #self-improvement7 years ago (edited)

Every morning while i'm on the bus or on the train, going to work, it happens to me to hear talking the people around me.
The majority of these people does nothing else than complaining about how unhappy they are with their work and how bad is their life going.

Complaining can help us solve our problems?

Not really.
When we are complaining about our problems we only give it more power and become more addicted to those problems.
We waste our energy to complain while we could use that energy to find a solution to our problem, after all there is a solution to every problem.
Some solutions might be easier to find, while others might be harder to find, but you have to know that it doesn't matter how big a problem might be, there will always be a solution, but we have to open our eyes in order to see it.
He who seeks finds, but if instead of seeking, we waste our time complaining about those problems, is completely normal that those problems won't just disappear.

Why we find ourselves doing a job that we don't like? And How can we change that?

The majority of those people, I've noticed, have been doing the same job for many years, even if they never liked it.
At first we start doing a job because we need money, then we get comfortable there, and even if we don't like our boss, and we don't like our job, we keep doing it, mainly for 2 reasons:

Money:

We live in a society that, since we are very young, educates us to chase money, and make us believe that without money is impossible to live our life. But the truth is, that if we will be chasing money we will never be happy, not even if we would become rich. Our society always tries to make us believe that money brings happiness and that's why everybody is trying to get rich, some without even doing nothing to deserve that richness.

We get comfortable where we are:

Many times, even if we don't like our work, we become friends with our colleagues , without realizing that by doing this we are trapping ourselves together in that work that we don't really like.
Other times the place where we work is close to our home and we don't want to change it with a better one because we don't want to wake up earlier in the morning.
Other times we are just afraid of looking for a new job, this mostly happens because of the media that keep telling us on the news, how hard it is to find a job, even if it might not be true, we get scared and we don't want to look for a new job.

Unfortunately, not all of us has the possibility to do what they like, or maybe we have the possibility but is not always easy for everybody.
If you want to be happy with your job, you have to change the way you see your job.
If you see your job only as something that you are forced to do in order to make money and live a decent life, it is normal that at a certain point you won't be happy with your work anymore.
The secret to make us like our work, is to stop seeing it as something we are forced to do, and start seeing it as an opportunity to learn new things and improve ourselves.
Knowledge has no limits, and the more you know the richer you get, because the money that you earn are easily used, but what you learn will be there forever and the more you work the more you learn.

Be the change that you want to see in the world

This quote by _Mahatma Gandhi_ is very important, every day we see things that we don't like and we complain about how this world is not perfect. But the change must start with us, because only after we have changed ourselves, we can start to change the others step by step. If, when we see somebody throwing something on the ground, instead of complaining that this world is becoming full of garbage, we will not throw our garbage where it is supposed to be thrown and educate anyone around us to do the same, the change will start to be seen. In order to achieve anything, we need time and patience.

Conclusions

If you don't like your job or something else, do not complain, but look for a solution that will solve your problem.
We are the authors of our own destinies, and whatever change we want to see in the world, depends only on us to make it happen or not, even if for some changes it may take more time.
We have to stop looking at our jobs only as something that we have to do in order to make money, but instead we should do our job with passion, and see it as an opportunity to learn new things, to meet new people, to improve ourselves.

What do you think?
Do you like your job?t do you think could be helpful for someone that doesn't like his job?
