DEEPLY ROOTED.

If from the moment you wake, you are anxious or frazzled, take time to imagine yourself being rooted, literally. Imagining that you are connected to the Earth will help start your day, whatever time that may be, feeling more in-sorts and grounded. You’ll be more focused and ready for the day - this is a beginning of your day exercise.

To get deeply rooted, you will imagine you are physically connected. This one is a big unconventional; and, it has proven very helpful for ALL. If you are religious of any kind, this is fine as you are connecting to God's creation - The Earth - and giving thanks for that. If you are simply spiritual, this helps with focusing your chakras balanced. If you are neither, this helps the energy flow in your body to be more focused:

Face North - yes, this is important because it is the business oriented side of energies.

Keep both hands open, facing down, and on your thighs (right hand on right thigh, left hand on left thigh).

Take a few deep breaths to get to a calm and meditative state of mind.

Imagine a tree trunk (the size is up to you) reaching it’s roots down to the core of Earth through your...buns (NOTE: your buns don’t need to be separated as wide as the tree trunk); I know it seems strange, but this step is necessary as it connects to the central nervous system of your body.

Let it works it way from where you sit through the ground and layers of the Earth until it connects to the core.

Sit there and allow it to have a solid connection for as long as you need to (at least 3 minutes).

Come out of it being thankful to your body and/or any higher entity that you connect with.

BONUS: For a deeper grounding, you can wrap around the core of the Earth and have the roots come back up around the trunk of the tree you grounded and into your body:

through your thighs to your feet

then wrap around your feet and up the legs

around the trunk of your body, from armpits down to hands and wrap around back up to shoulders

then around your neck and up to the top of your head
I like to say my affirmations for the day after I do this exercise. It helps me go from running off everything I need to do in my head to stragecially handling my situations.

For you morning potty users and/or morning shower bodies, try to accomplish this first. It really only takes a few minutes. If this is non-negotiable for you, try to get it down before you get dressed and into your day. This is considered a short-meditation, but it is for grounding. When you meditate or pray, you connect to a more spiritual sense that is a higher source, focusing on the upper energies in your body. Either way is helpful, but both would be a great balance.

The saying goes, “you should sit and meditate for 20 minutes every day unless you’re too busy. Then, you should meditate for an hour.” You may not find time to have balance in your life; you need to make time.
