Increasing your value!

I have often referred to in my previous posts about how much importance does hard work have in our lives. What does hard work actually mean. Hard work is doing what you do with utmost intensity and to the best of your abilities. We often talk about hard work and most of us think that working hard means working long hours.

Although, this is correct, but not entirely. Think of it, at your company or mine most people work the same amount of hours and in most of the professions this is the case as well. I am not trying to down play anyone's profession, but a cleaner, a nurse and a doctor all work the same amount of hours in a day. Probably the work that the cleaners and the nurses do involves way more physical effort than that of a doctor's. But, the money a doctor makes way more than the others.

The reason behind this is pretty obvious the doctor worked hard when it mattered, he studied and practiced the skills that add value to the society and can't be performed by average people. This is very important concept to understand. The way we spend our time after our 8 hour shift is directly proportional to the time money we make from that 8 hour shift. So, you can either watch stupid shows that will not lead to anything in life or watch and read about things that add to your skill set and makes you a better and a smarter human being.

What you are earning today is always fair and is never more or less than what you deserve. If my blog posts are not making money, I know I am not doing that great a job and hence I am trying to become the best at what I do. If we think that the world is unfair that is exactly what we will attract and witness around us. The very first step is to realize that this world is indeed fair and if you work hard at being smart you will be reciprocated with whatever you deserve in monetary and spiritual terms.
