I got the idea of this article from a comment on my last post by @captainj. He wrote, "I think that many people want different results than what they are getting but for some reason they think that if they work harder at what they are doing that they will achieve the desired results. However some people do not know how to change."

Thank you to captainj for sharing his thoughts. If someone does want to change, they don't know how to. They try to work hard but don't have a direction. The thing I appreciate the most in people is hard work. I don't care if they are successful. The thing I care about is pure hard work and I think that is what universe appreciates as well. There is no way that hard work will not bring success it just has to and if you are sincere enough towards your dreams you will breakthrough and find every single answer you are seeking in life.

But I know the people who are reading this post are interested in achieving more. The ways I change my habits are is really easy if you have the commitment and the desire to change. The first step is to identify what behaviors need to change and write them down. After writing them down, observe for a couple days which behaviors you exhibit the least to the ones you show the most.

Now think of the ways the behaviors are destroying your life and the lives of the others around you. Your why should be bigger than yourself. You want to change not only because of your own sake but who else wants you to change and will be happy if you change yourself. After finding your why try to make conscious efforts to change yourself. Set with the least detrimental habit you want to change and work your way up, past experience of success will keep you going.

The thing that helped me the most was to imagine the good things that will happen if I give up a bad habit. Visualization is key in making a change effort and is often underrated. Try to find the triggers that make you take steps that you don't want to take. For example, if you want to reduce your alcohol consumption and you generally drink with your friends at the bar, the way you can change is going out every alternative weekend and staying home for a change, spending time with your family or by drinking non-alcoholic beverages.

The realization that one may have that they want to change is the first and the most important step to initiate change process. You need to realize that change can't take place overtime and there will be slip ups and failures, but treating them as an event and not a life story is important. Importance of developing a habit of reading cannot be overstated. It is the best and the most intriguing way of learning and development. Start reading 30 minutes and you will see changes that are beyond your imagination. Start with Jen Sincero's, 'You Are A Badass'. It is a great read and has been essential in my evolution as a person. Thanks for reading guys. Happy Abundance!
